Suke Quto was established in 2005 and is certified organic. Implementing environment-friendly coffee farming under the shade of natural forest.
Operation Cherry Red is a successful project under which high premiums are paid if high quality standards are met. The premiums are re-invested into the farms infrastructure to push quality further. All coffees are washed with spring water. Fermentation takes place in 36-72 hours. The coffee is slowly dried over up to 14 days on raised African Drying Tables.
We are excited to return to this beautiful coffee that was very popular last year. We have cupped various lots of Suke Quto until this particular one has blown all of us away at our Cupping Table. With very high quality scores, this cup has beautifully rich flavours and mouthfeel. Notes of blackcurrant and blueberries are balanced off by wonderful hibiscus flavours. Extremely yummy!
We roast Suke Quto for espresso. Please note that the difference of our roast profiles for filters or espressos is smaller than it used to be. However, our espressos do get more development to make them work in a professional enviroment. They are light & clean enough to easily put them on for filter brews.
We never blend any of our coffees and sell whole beans only to keep them as fresh as possible for you. All our coffees are fresh in season and of highest grading. We make it a point to pay a premium that enables our farmers to build a sustainable business and produce a high quality product in which they take great pride.
Our coffees are roasted rather light to create a fully developed but very clean taste.
